Kids in the Park

This  activity is for youth from age 6 and up. One new activity every month from May to September this is a rain or shine event.  Activity's are designed for youth to build hands on projects. Projects that can be used here in Wilderness Park or at home. This is a chance to have fun and make new friends at the same time.  Activities are at the Clubhouse and start at 10am rain or shine. Please per register for all events to ensure that we have enough material for all to participate.

Spring Bonfire

In April we are having a spring bonfire at the Clubhouse starting at 1pm.  This event is rain or shine. We can meet new members or greet the ones we know. Come and enjoy the community  property we all invest in.

April 21st

Breakfast at the Clubhouse

We are making you breakfast at the clubhouse, come and enjoy with family and friends, Breakfast will include eggs, pancakes, sausage, cheesy potato's, biscuits and gravy, tang and coffee.

This event is a fundraiser for the activities committee.  

All you can eat $8.00 for adults 12- up

$5.00 for kids 5-11 free for kids 4 and under.

Park Clean-up Day / Dumpster Day

Dumpster Day: Starts at 7am on Saturday June 2. Dues need to be current before you dump.  This is for members only.  All appliances are welcome except for softeners and no hazardous materials. 

Roadside clean-up / Scavenger hunt 

Starts after the meeting.

Movie Night in the Park

Come with chairs and blanks to the Clubhouse at 8pm for a movie and popcorn. The Movie will be projected on the Clubhouse. You May Bring your own snacks and beverages.

Flag Ceremony and Bonfire

July 4th is our nations birthday. We have planned a Flag ceremony to show respect and honor people who have fought to keep this country free.  Bonfire to follow meet at the clubhouse 9pm

July 4th

Road Side Clean-up / Savenger Hunt

This is a fun event that Helps to clean-up our Parks roads and allows us to find different treasures (trash) for prizes. The fun begins after the Meeting. Meet at the Clubhouse.

June 2nd

Wilderness Park Day / Hog Roast

This is voted as the BEST Event of the year by our Members. We will  be having activities all day long. Lunch will be served at 12 noon    


Some of the Activities will consist of;

Bean Bag Tournament, Games of all types, Yard Dice, All kinds of races and a Parade.  

9am 5k walk/run

9am kids in the park marking yard dice

10:30am  ATV Parade

12:00pm Food

1:00pm Bean Bag Tournament $10 per team

1:00pm kids games and races

This  is  a fundraiser for the activities committee

July 21st

The Annual Meeting

This is The Meeting to attend, if you don't attend any other meetings all year this should be the one you go to.  There are always hot topics, yearly budget and the voting for new board of directors. After we  do the Annual Meeting we sit down and visit with a great meal free to all that come. Meeting at the Clubhouse starts at 9:30am Come early and register to vote. Your vote maters if you can not attend please send in your proxy vote. 

August 18th

Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction

This is an event that will entertain you and leave you wanting to come back next year. There will be dinner and a Silent Auction for items displayed at the dinner.  We will sell tickets Starting at the Breakfast in May and all through the summer until we sell out. There will also be chances to win Tickets at the events during the summer.

Activites Committee

Activities committee is always looking for volenteers to help with events. If you would like to help with any of the events listed please contact Paul Albrecht 320-224-6938 or any of your board members.

Fundraisers are to fund free events, Kids in the Park and special projects like the new pool cover and the tornado siren on the Clubhouse. 

Fall road and ditch clean-up

This is a great time with out bugs to help make our roads better. These trees are crowding the roads and keep the graders and plows away. By cutting down trees in the ditch right of way that  makes our roads wider and drier which will keep them in over all better condition. Please come and help us make the Park better for all. Starts after the meeting.

DNR ATV Training Course Field Day

Additional Information

This is the Field Day Course.  This Class will consist of one hour of class room work and 2 hours of time for the Road test.

To Attend this Course you must  First, complete an ATV safety online course,  visit the DNR website at, then click on Education and Safety.  Find Recreational Vehicle Safety Classes, find a course or contact the DNR for a CD version.

Next, attend the Hands-On ATV Safety class: (Field Day)
Students ages 6 - 15 must register for a Hands-On ATV Safety Training class.   (a parent or guardian must be present at the hands-on training portion for youth ages 6 through 10 and for all others to fill out paperwork). 

 The Hands-On training includes:  Student must meet Fit Requirements;  Basic ATV operation, protecting the environment, common ATV parts and  controls, MN rules and laws, responsible ATV riding skills for trail  riding, and practicing/demonstrating skills on an ATV course. Student must be fitted to the ATV they will be operating.   

All riders must have a certificate of completion of an ATV online Course and provide there own ATV that fits them.

This Course is not advertised on the DNR website and is for the Park.  another course that is open for all will be in the fall.


Students can print their ATV Safety Certificate from the DNR website  after passing the Hands-On class. Instructions provided during class  (includes DNR fee of $10). The ATV Certificate becomes valid at age 12. 

ATV training requirement for Age 16 and older

Anyone  born after July 1, 1987, and who is 16 years or older can complete one  of the ATV safety online courses and pay all necessary fees online to  meet certification requirements. Not required to attend the ATV safety  Hands-On class.

Registration is required to attend this course.  Act soon slots are filling fast.

Class will be at at the Clubhouse. 

Class starts at 1pm come 20 mins early to fill out paper work.
